POLL 17: Ratings videos
Added 2024-04-27 21:44:46 +0000 UTCCurrently, when I rate songs out of 10 for my end-of-month ratings videos, I use increments of 0.25 (e.g 7 > 7.25 > 7.5 > 7.75 > 8 etc.)
Would you like me to change this to use increments of 0.1, for more possible ratings? (e.g 7 > 7.1 > 7.2 > 7.3 > 7.4 etc.)
If you're not sure what I'm referring to, here is the most recent video: https://youtu.be/zu_GIp9gKm8
Whilst I didn't want to make these increments too small, sometimes I struggle to give a rating, even with 0.25 increments 😅
Thanks!

P.S. I am thinking of making this change, unless the massively overwhelming vote is "No". If the change does go ahead, I will make the change to all previous ratings and these will be visible in future reaction videos, if the artist features
This poll will end in a couple of days as I'd like to gauge results in time for this month's ratings video 😃

2024-04-28 22:42:51 +0000 UTCIf it makes ratings easier for you, make the change. By profession, I'm an epidemiologist, and i'm well steeped in the use and interpretation of stats. My only advice here is that if you get to the point increments are so small, there's no real distinction in quality from a 9.1 to a 9.2, you're just giving yourself a headache because you'll spend time trying to justify the difference to yourself. The increments need to mean something to you. In my profession we call it biological significance vs statistical significance. If greater statistical significance is of no biological consequence in treatment or illness, it's of no real world use (at least not at present).
