LIFE LESSON - Trust Your Art Friends

This is something we're working on behind the scenes, but I thought I'd give you all a first look at what's going on.

Story-wise, Blue Sandstone will return and help out with some crazy stuff that's gonna be happening soon, and with that there will be a few more fusions making an appearance.. so we started to take another shot at this big mama here. 

We've had this design in storage since maybe the end of 2016, but we never really figured out how to color it or how to fix it up. Then a couple months later Diz and I redesigned our gems, so we tried again.

This was gonna be the working design once we got around to it .. but after a long long year, things fell apart and the story was put on hold (among other things happening).

Recently we figured out that with Bloodstone and Tol Fluorite out of the picture, Blue Sandstone would eventually return to aid the remaining Pebbles in an upcoming crisis.. and with this upcoming arc having to do with trust, growth and understanding, fusion would play a key role in that.. thus being a great time to debut our new fusion.

After fiddling around with the design on my own for some time, I felt ok with the design on the left .. but it wasn't until Diz designed something that helped me to create the image on the right.

What can I say .. I FELL IN LOVE WITH HER.

So now I proudly present to you all SODALITE (we changed her name because reasons) the official fusion between Apatite and Blue Sandstone. 

She'll be making an appearance in the coming months when things get crazy, but now you can all enjoy this exclusive look at what's to come down the road :) 

Also be sure to trust your friends when it comes to working on designs for characters, sometimes they know exactly what they're doing :D
