Now that the Cult is at fighting strength, we thought we'd show you a snapshot of how we developed them from concept to release. To that end, here's a selection of concept art from Connor that shows how the idea for the set was explored before being turned over to Tom and James for 3D work.
The Cult was envisioned as something Lovecraftian, which guided the overall theme. They are defined, as you can likely tell, by sharp edges and scary masks.
We're happy with how the set turned out and it's been great to see them received well. We'll be moving onto a new theme next month, which we'll hopefully be teasing soon. That's not the end of the Cult though - the line will be revisited in the future, without a doubt.
