2B - Progress report

Here's some small wip shots of the flash in its current state.

Originally I was going to hide the blue checkpoint tile, yellow winning tile, and the maze path, but I feel the faded colours on the grey background really help the maze levels look nicer. The red path also shows that the flash is working, and when you fail it tells you that it resets which I feel is a neat little accident-becomes-feature kinda deal.

Honestly, while it's not my biggest expansion (My Makoto and Samus animations are likely gonna be longer), this one is probably my most mechanically challenging yet - clocking in at over 4000 lines of code - and I can't wait for you all to play it!

To put that into perspective:
Linux Doom from 1997 had 40,000 lines of code which, uh... now I compare them it seems rather... small in comparison. But the code I've written this month combines to a total of roughly 7,000 - which is much more reasonable number to brag about. Yeah, lets go with that.


ANYWAY - that tangent aside - I can't wait to show this off! I don't have a solid ETA yet, but it's definitely gonna be before the month is over.

Also, because I've got this question a lot, I'm going to answer this now:

Yes - this flash will remain as a $5 reward as it was when I posted it the first time.

I've said this a few times before, but now it's big and bold so no one can miss it!
