Update - Animation commission price change

Hi all hope you are well. This is an update to anyone who is planning on or are in the queue for an animation commmission.

This the process of animating takes alot of my time away from other projects I have decided it would be best for me to instead of charging a flat fee I charge by the hour, this will include drafting/ink work. Audio is done by a third party so there won't be a charge.

So I will update the commission banner but I will outline now what to expect.

£20 per hour charge will apply to the next animation commission I do. (I will notify all who are in the queue when the time comes and they can decide to opt out or carry on)

I will be using an app called Harvest freelancer time tracker which will log all the hours and minutes I do each session and at the end final bill will be created. The app allows you to see a copy of the sessions etc so you can see the evidence.

I've been thinking of doing this for awhile because again its a monsterous task to animate and deliver so I need to cover the labor cost.

Any questions comment below

Peace

The app covers all the details so you can ask me to share that info as the work is being done.

I'm okay with this for the time being. Just a couple of concerns. 1) Is there any way to estimate how many hours a project will take? I'd like to at least have a general idea of what I'm obligating myself to. 2) Will there be some way of tracking the costs as the project progresses, and what options might we have in the event it takes considerably longer than quoted?

Hourly rate is basically charge per hour of work I do on animation commissions. So instead of a flat fee, the price you pay goes up the longer it takes me to do an animation. So if it takes me 10 hours to complete, £20×10=£200 for example

What is a hourly rate?
