Getting this thing installed and setup was an unexpected detour from my projects but a very welcome one! I now have a proper workbench for designing and repairing things! I mention it about 30 times in the video but I am so excited to finally have a solution for my work area like this. It completely changes how I get to approach projects now.
I didn't really cover it in the video, but the only downside and the reason I didn't build something like this myself is that it reduces the overhead clearance for things quite a lot. So I'm probably going to have to tear down things somewhere else and then bring the components here. Hopefully that works out well for how I usually work but I'm excited to find out!
I also took the opportunity to go through everything I use at my workbench. I get questions about that sometimes and now I'll be able to point to this video as an answer to almost all of them. This ended up being a significant part of the video, but I give a lot of info and opinions. Hopefully it's of interest. I didn't want to write a script and it kind of went on and on so it's not a short one.
I'm probably going to release this later today. I need some time to put a bit of work into tracking down all the old videos I mention and linking the things I recommended. I also want to manually edit the subtitles because I learned that ~13% of people watch the videos with those and that is a lot so I'm trying to make it a priority now.
