2026-03-17 00:53:46 +0000 UTCOh nooooo. I caught up with the most recent episode! No more Atla binging for me now. I watched Atla back in the days when it first released. It defined my first few years of school and I remember playing with a good friend of mine and pretending to bend the elements and riding on Appa (while sitting on ping pong tables outside). It was my favourite show back then and is still to this day tbh. Especially when they started to really tell a story for more than one episode. I love Zukos arch and believe me, we ALL were disappointed in him but I also understand why he chose to stick with Azula. And it's a realistic portrail of his issues to be quiet frank. So excited for the last season wich is arguably MY favourite season!

I'd seen the show up until here in german, and our TV channels wouldn't have season 3 for another 6 months, so I basically taught myself english just for the ATLA torrents you could find online. I've seen this comparison that really hit home for me: imagine Zuko as a recovering drug addict, he's crashed, he's gone through rehab, it was ugly, but finally he has a positive outlook on the future again. In comes Azula with a bag of fucking heroin. That's what happened here.

Its a shame what happened to ang but it'll be worth it when Kendra the new avatar turns up

2026-03-13 23:19:57 +0000 UTCLove love love this episode its my absolute favorite season ending, I was blown away as a kid when they didn't somehow win at the end and just loved it. This is the episode I have heard compared to empire strikes back, you had compared the last one to it though, but as someone who hasn't seen it if its anything like the last 2 episodes here its gotta be the best one lol. When you said toph needs a staff I imagined Edward Elrics weapon in full metal alchemist, if you havent seen it I highly recommend it, not really a spoiler since its in the title but he uses alchemy which can change how metal appears and honestly it would be badass for toph to get something like that going on. So happy you enjoyed the episode even if left disappointed in zuko, iroh though man, MVP to me hes definitely my favorite of this season and the whole series lol. What will happen to his tea shop now, all those poor customers. π₯
