Movie Watcher Reads Harry Potter For the First Time! - Order of the Phoenix Chapter 13!

Today we have our first ever Single Chapter Review, and typically, it is longer than some 2 Chapter reviews! BUT we have a bunch of stuff to discuss. Such a good (and frankly, LONG) chapter with so much!

There is so much in this book I wasn't expecting, for Harry, Ron and Hermione individually. It is an absolute treat!

I also make... a critical error during the Book Club. It is 100% Simon's fault.

We also discuss pubs, French Fancies, comedies (as always) and a completely bizarre 'Harry Potter Book Review' dream I had a couple of nights ago.

Hope you enjoy, lovelies! Before several 2 chapter episodes, I may 'consider' another oner based on how this video goes. The next chapter is a chunky one, followed by many shorter ones. ALL feedback is greatly appreciated!!!

For real, Veggie! Maybe you should audition for the new show. Just for the fun of it. Can’t hurt to try!

You are not wrong about the whole Ron and Quidditch thing. Not in Order film! Also...I totally never noticed the typo in my book club post! I meant to say Arthur is the fun parent. Not sure how I didn't catch "fan"

I haven't had fainting fancies🙃😅 I don't think you're bringing the mood down by adressing that what Fred and George are doing is dangerous and disrespectful. And I also think there is a difference between them doing the things they do and them wanting to be mean or cruel. It feels to me like they just iften don't see boundaries where they should see them...🤔😕

Harry apologised to Hermione in a previous chapter for biting her head off. She knows he isn't angry with her or Ron over these matters, but they do take the brunt of his frustration and anger at the situation; so they are good friends to him, but remind him now and again to reign it in with them, which are healthy relationships. Meh, those first years are getting paid, its just a bit of discomfort, then they can enjoy those sweet galleons! :P Fred and George have already said they are using this term to test out their products on the public, they aren't thinking or concerned about the effect it has on others. Is it wrong? Yes. Are they stepping over the mark? Some will say yes, others no. They would also be the first to come clean if something untoward did happen when testing their products to the staff; so its not like they are hiding their experimentation. We do however take these things too far in our criticism these days though. We all had days at school/college/uni, where we got embarrassed about something that happened to us, like these kids here with Fred and George; but no long lasting harm is being done to them, and they are getting financially rewarded also, so for me its no biggie. I wouldn't say that Umbridge's punishment for Harry is akin to caning, more like branding. I do agree that the movie scene plays this section brilliantly. I've said it before, but I do think Dame Imelda Staunton gives the best acting performance in the films; she is tremendous in the role of Umbridge. The book scene is still a shock though as we have to remember this was obviously before the films, and this is the first time we see that this person isn't just bad, but downright evil and sadistic.
