####### EPISODE SPOILER REVIEW BELOW! APPARENTLY SOME OF YOU ARE WATCHING FOR THE FIRST TIME ALONG SIDE ME, SO PLEASE DON'T READ BEYOND THIS POINT UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THE EPISODE YOURSELF! ######

------

(NOTE - At the start I think that Wesley & Cordie are cleaning out the hotel's office, but I realise it is their new digs a little later, sorry!)

Haha, really liked this one! Really good mix of suspense and humour!

The Host really is great. Him and Angel make for a great double-act! And as Detective Hercule Wesley & gang are doing so well, it is much needed!

Really liked the look of the villains. They definitely gave me more 'Buffy' vibes rather than Angel!

Looks like Angel may be having a change of heart? It will be interesting to see what happens next!

Hope you guys are having a great week!

As always, if you click the video just after this post, you may need to  download it first.  This should be fixed in a couple of hours!

Regarding the "Sing Class" confusion: they actually said "Scene Class," as in an acting class where you work on performing scenes from plays--which is why they were then talking about someone, presumably Denise's scene partner, insisting that he needs a goatee to play his role :)

The main plot itself is bad enough in this one, but what really aggravates me is how easily Gene gets away with being such a complete horror of a person. He's not a tragic figure, he's an absolute menace.

40:00 I'm tellin ya, those 3 minutes are 40 minutes of a Psych tv show episode :D

I read the book, Watership Down as a kid, so when it finally came out as a movie years later, I couldn't be bothered to see it because I didn't feel it would be faithful enough to the book. Or I didn't want to see anything sad, I guess. The book was enough.

The actor playing Gene might have done too good a job at playing the dull guy. That makes it my least favorite episode of season 2. LOL But yeah, Angel and the Host teaming up for a job was a lot of fun. It's like he got a vision instead of Cordy.

I find the Gene/Denise stuff in this episode an unfortunate combo of icky and just plain boring, but everything else is great. Angel and The Host are a great duo and endlessly fun to watch, and I love the way we suddenly jump into the ending of an Agatha Christie novel with Wesley, Cordy and Gunn. I too have always liked The Host's metaphor about life being about change; it's the gem in an otherwise forgettable plot. I also like that we get a glimpse into Angel's mindset and what's driving him right now. I'm really sorry to hear that you're in a hard place at the moment. Having recently had a loss of my own, I know there's nothing I can say to make you feel better, but I want you to know my heart goes out to you ๐Ÿ’œ I was obsessed with Watership Down as a kid - I used to watch it on repeat constantly even though some parts of it scared me. It's been too long since I last watched it, so I know what I'm watching tomorrow night :)

I love the Host so much. Any scene he is in is just instantly better. I feel like you can tell the show is starting to figure that out, and trying to use him more. The show definitely didnโ€™t acknowledge that Gene was essentially committing a murder suicide. The way it forgives him cause he only *meant* to permanently imprison *one* unwilling person feels very weird. The more you think about it, the more messed up that is. Maybe Wesley should focus more on solving murders, he seems to be particularly good at it ๐Ÿคฃ Agatha Christie is one of my comfort authors, so I would be delighted at a whole episode in that style. If you enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express, many of her novels are โ€˜freeโ€™ with an audible subscription ๐Ÿ˜

Has there ever been 2 people with less chemistry together than Gene and Denise? And I still don't understand the logic of his plan. Would he be experiencing that moment forever? And even if the Lubber demons hadn't caused the bubble to expand, did he rally think no one would eventually come along and turn off the machine anyway? On the other hand, I love the Host/Angel scenes, and the Wesley as Hercule Poirot scene!

OK, when you brought out the cell phone for the song, I laughed!

Thom Purdy

"The Star Spangled Banner" is the National Anthem of the U.S.A. The song often sung at Wrestlemania is "America the Beautiful", which IMHO is. at least musically, a better song.
