Movie Watcher Reads Harry Potter For the First Time! - Goblet of Fire Chapters 18 & 19!

Hi guys!! So sorry this was later than promised! I go into the reasons late into the video! XD

Welcome back to The Harry Potter Book Reviews! Or how I like to call these chapters - 'Hermione gets a-no respect!'

Such great chapters here! I feel like we learn more about what makes Harry, Ron and Hermione themselves more than ever before!

We have a great decussion about 'that moment' with Snape, and honestly though there are many different takes, I feel everyone is still kind of on the same page. Even if you disagree with someone though, being able to cover their opinions is very important in this reviews, so I really appreciate the respect given.

It is so crazy as it didn't stand out when I watched the movie for the first time, but there are a couple of things that Movie Rita says that to ME at least... literally makes no sense. I look forward to your thoughts on those.

Love you, guys. Again, I am really sorry this was late. And I am also really sorry to anyone that DM'd me and had to wait a long time for a reply! I really didn't want to give the impression I was ignoring you!! That isn't who I am.

Have a great night! And enjoy the review! :)

1) I think you're misjudging just how precise people's memories are. Young toddlers are often referred to as babies-- it doesn't necessarily mean Harry was under 12 months when Voldemort attacked. (Do the math when we find out Lily and James' death date!) Years pass and people's memories get fuzzy. Was that Potter kid a newborn when it happened? 1? 2? 3? Think about a major event from 10-20 years ago-- do you have to do some work to figure out the exact number of years? I'm sure some people hesitated and thought 'that doesn't sound quite right, shouldn't he be older?' but the majority probably haven't thought about Harry's exact age beyond that he must surely be at Hogwarts now. As I get older, this happens to me all the time with young celebrities when I get jump-scared by how old they've gotten! When the girl from Stranger Things got married I thought "That can't be right, she must be about 15" even though I knew her age in the first season and I knew when the first season aired. Time just gets away from you! 2) It's funny how much you hold it against the Gryffindors for being petty about house rivalries while it seems like you definitely have the same tendency, haha. A lot of this book is kids being silly and jealous and tribalistic, and it's interesting to see readers doing the same thing. Seamus is annoyed by oh-so-perfect Diggory, who's the older handsome "can do no wrong" kid. I hope you don't hold a permanent grudge against him for being a bit petty! I think a huge point of this book is about how silly and over-the-top house loyalty can get. Curious if you would be okay with Seamus wearing a button that said "Support Harry Potter, the real Hogwarts champion" that also had a "Cedric stinks" message on it as long as he kept it on the first side. LOL.

Just catching up and getting to this review now, but I don’t think Seamus is being a bully in his remarks about Cedric. I think the fact that Cedric is so nice despite having the world at his feet can make him even more annoying to his peers. If he had the world at his feet and was mean, stuck up, or arrogant it would make it easier to dislike him. But because he’s not, Seamus and other students at Hogwarts have to grudgingly respect him despite being pretty obviously jealous of him. Not sure if that made any sense lol. But I think it just boils down to teenage pettiness Love the laughter over Colin back talking Snape. It was quite hilarious Book Hermione is definitely the MVP of these chapters!
