Loved these chapters so much, especially 17, though SO MUCH happens in 16 too! We have a LOT to discuss regarding changes and things left out of the movie (especially one nitorious line ;) ) and the Book Club was as awesome as ever!
We talk about Toothbrush moustaches, The Beano, good grass lawn maintenance, and even a couple of minutes taking about Harry Potter!

2024-05-05 20:47:14 +0000 UTCI don't think the Goblet knows the student must be 17 or older, since this wasn't a rule in the previous tournaments (where I presume the Goblet was already used to select the champions), that's the purpose of the age line, so that the only names submitted belong to students who are of age. Not sure if it would be able to detect that someone isn't a student, but since they need to write down their school I assume it can't tell which school the student is from, so...

2024-04-15 18:24:58 +0000 UTCHey Veg! I’m a little behind on the times. Just watching this now. About the Goblet…the way I understood it, was that the Goblet may have some awareness. Like, it knows there are 3 schools competing and that the entrants must be at least 17 years old. So presumably, you couldn’t enter Sirius because he’s not a student. But that’s just how I understood it. I could be wrong though 😊
