If you are reading along with the reviews, we are covering chapters "Mayhem at The Ministry" & "Aboard The Hogwarts Express"! So if you have any thoughts, opinions, comparisons or questions regarding these, please leave a comment below!
I do have to ask, try to keep them fairly short, like 4 or 5 sentences. That way I can cover more when making the video. Also try to keep them on subject and not referencing anything that we are yet to cover. Ideally, keep it to 1 comment each if you can (if you have more to say after commenting, you can edit it and add to it! :) ). These are just rough guidelines rather than rules, I want to be able to fit in as many of you as possible! :)

Hi Veggie! I wanna thank Will for their comment regarding the Finnish book covers last time. I was planning to do the same after all the champions had been properly introduced and described, because I love how accurately Fleur, Cedric and Krum were all illustrated on the cover. I'm in the minority with Veggie, I really like the unique art style. Fun fact: as a young boy, the Finnish illustrator Mika Launis hated his own nose and thought it was too big, and that is why he gave Harry a long nose. I think that was actually sweet of him, to give Harry one of his own personal features. I believe lots of people dislike their nose, I certainly did for most of my life and especially as a teen. Launis also said, "Wizards have big noses. It's an unusual and unifying feature. Harry has a budding wizard's nose. Headmaster Dumbledore already has a considerable one." :D Do you have a favourite christmas dish? I made a delicious vegan wellington last year and I'm definitely making it again! Hope you and Woozle have a relaxing Christmas! And thank you again for the book club!

2023-12-22 16:52:23 +0000 UTCHi Veggie! Watching the movie scenes right after reading the chapters can be quite bizarre from this movie onwards. Cutting most of the dark mark scene and then going straight to Hermione reading the paper on the train and basically agreeing with Skeeter about ministry blunders and lax security is just weird :D I also really like the Malfoy/Ron dynamic in the books. Ron has been teased about the big event all summer and is angry about how "everything he owns is rubbish". Malfoy then manages to hit all the right spots by laughing at his dress robes, teasing even more about the event and insulting his father. I can really feel Rons frustration as he squashes the Cauldron Cake into a pulp. Hope you have a great christmas and new years Veggie!
