We meet a new character, and get a whole new perspective on several others! And the mystery has well and truly begin!

A year late, but blabbing— I think the movie decision to put the Weasleys in “bad” seats compared to the Malfoys was smart. Book readers have spent so much time with these characters they will never forget basic character details like Weasleys=poor and Malfoys=rich snobs. The book has tons of time to reinforce the characterization of both families in dozens of little ways. The movies have to cram things in, and they have to remind the viewer of the basics since lots of people haven’t thought about these characters in the years since the last one came out. Since they cut Ludo Bagman and Winky, there’s no reason to confuse the watcher about why the financially struggling Weasleys have incredible seats.
