What Aqua was saying was that his body and mental age from his past life are starting to align. Aqua was a young doctor in his past life, older than what he is now, but young enough still that teen Aqua and doctor Aqua were in the same generation of habits and thoughts. The differences between how they would act now is all based on Aqua's darkness from traumatic events, both when he was the doctor and as a reincarnated young child.
