dude that explains so much with frieren being tired. she is just permanently on. and yeah its cute how she expresses her care through her spell usage.

Frieren had not quite lived long enough to become nonchalant about everything...which we witnessed her love of magic slightly decline after she finally got a teacher and was always involved in magic. As magic became more and more a part of her entire life, it became less and less special to her...which Frieren offset this in part by pursuing and learning more and more spells. Also remember how Frieren is always sleeping in, oversleeping, groggy in the early day, and just overall quite lazy? Frieren noted to Flamme that always suppressing her mana makes her quite tired. It's interesting that Frieren has turned her suppressed state into her natural state, yet she still remains in a quite tired state. It is nice that Frieren wanted to learn Flamme's favorite spell in order to make Flamme happy...because as we have seen, Frieren was constantly doing spells that made her party members happy. Himmel loved flowers, Frieren uses Flamme's favorite spell to create a field of flowers...Eisen likes sour grapes, Frieren uses a spell to turn grapes from sweet to sour...Heiter likes shaved ice, Frieren uses a spell to create shaved ice. And finally, Elves don't become more empathetic as they grow older, they actually become more apathetic as they grow older. Because Elves live for so long, they lose interest and excitement in things we might be experiencing for the first time.
