Priest Codex [Monster Thursday]

This week we are about to creating some NPCs you can use to help threaten your players with! This group of NPCs all work within a religious organization, probably something that your party probably has annoyed at one time or another. These priests can be good or evil, lawful or chaotic, and wholesome or horrifying.

Bishop (CR 5) Often the head of a territory that includes several buildings of worship, they oversee priests, friars, and more.

Curate (CR 1/2) They are just beginning their journey within their religious organizations, learning how to be priestly.

Exorcist (CR 4) Fighting possessions, whether from celestials, ghosts, fiends, or anything else, they are thought of as the hardened members of their organization.

Friar (CR 2) While my first opinion of a friar is from Robin Hood (1973), they aren't all obsessed with being joyous. These are the lay-priests who may live in a monastery or scour the countryside to share their beliefs with others.

High Priest (CR 8) One of the highest, if not the highest rank, in a religious organization, these high priests are responsible for overseeing that the tenants are upheld.

Saint (CR 11) Every few generations comes someone who is deeply connected to their deity or religious organization. They are often blessed by their deity with greater powers than their peers, even those who had dedicated a long life.
