One-Shot: Slayed on the Sandsailer - February 20, 2022

I (Stephen) am going to be running a one-shot on February 20 but first I need a few players - which is where you come in. This will be a first-come, first-serve though our $10 patrons get first dibs. After that, I'll be opening it up to our $5 patrons (9th), a few days later to our $1 patrons (12th), and then it will be open to anyone on our Discord (15th). I have room for 6 players in the one-shot. If you are in one of the lower tiers, feel free to message me beforehand and I'll add you to the waiting list.

Time: February 20, 2022 [20220220] 12pm EST to about 4pm EST [5pm UTC to about 9pm UTC]

The adventure: We will be playing with Dungeons & Dragons 5e and a murder mystery written by me.

A murder most foul on the Sandsailer, an elemental engine that operates on the Haven Line that connects the cities of the Falkrunn Desert. Wuvroth Klaldendrel ends up dead in his luxury room, and it falls to the party to find out what happened and who could've done the deed. They have only a day before the elemental engine arrives in Serrat and all witnesses and suspects can disappear into the city. 

For character generation:

- Characters are made using the Dungeons & Dragons 5e ruleset

- Standard Stat Array or Point Buy

- Level the character up to 3rd level

- Characters are restricted to Player's Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes.

- Magic items can be selected from the Dungeon Master's Guide, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, or Xanathar's Guide to Everything. You can select up to 2 common items and 1 uncommon item.

- Multiclassing and Feats are allowed

- We will be interacting with humanoids and elementals.

- No evil characters. Your characters should want to be part of the story and be interested in what happens next. They should be proactive and want to figure things out without being dragged along.

Before the game:

- Send me your character sheet (or I'll send you a pre-gen before the game if you so wish)

- Set up an account on Roll20

- Select a character token/portrait and send it to me so I can set it up on Roll20

Helpful tips:

- Due to time constraints, I'll be pacing combat quickly.

- If you build a character, I can recommend DnDBeyond and the Beyond20 extension.

- Ensure you have a working microphone (phone or computer mic is fine) and working speakers/headphones.

Background: For the background of your character, you are an adventuring group traveling from the floating jewel city of Falkrunn across the desert to the city of Serrat utilizing an elemental engine (train).
