From servants to advisors, a palace is full of people working to keep the household going and the kingdom moving slowly. Its up to them to ensure that their ruler is happy, for a happy ruler is a happy kingdom, at least... that's probably what they are told by the said ruler... Whether they agree with their king or not isn't really of much importance, for their job is to simply carry on and clean, advise, and prepare the royalty for their big days.
Advisor (CR 3) They give advice, though many might be more interested in what they gain than actually helping out their ruler. I gave them a handful of spells to help them carry on their tasks as I felt, of anyone in a magical world, it would be the noble elites who have the time to learn and practice magic.
Chef (CR 1) Maybe you know them as angry and loud or fat and cheery, chefs are important to any household unless they want to starve. They are experts at carving through meat and bone, making for a dangerous encounter when they have their favorite meat cleaver in hand.
Lady-In-Waiting (CR 1/2) Rumors fly when you get on the wrong side of the household staff. Ladies-in-waiting were important members responsible for noblewomen and acting as personal assistants for them. They are an important member of the staff that can be very helpful to have as friends or very dangerous to make enemies of.
Maid (CR 1/8) Their hierarchy within the household staff could range from below the stable muckers to above even butlers, all depends on how much the rulers enjoy having a clean and warm home. They dressed the beds, fed fires, dusted, cleaned, washed, decluttered, and far more, making them some of the hardest workers in the household. If you get on their bad side, watching out for flying cutlery, rolling pins, and random junk they are putting away.
Royal Guard (CR 6) Standing guard outside and inside the palace, these guards are stoic and impassive as they keep their rulers and household staff safe. Some are merely to show off the power of the ruler while others may have more insidious roles, imprisoning and executing those who would stand against those they serve.
Traitor (CR 4) Can't have a kingdom without a few traitors trying to ruin it for everyone. They have a few spells to help them sneak about a household, vanishing just as they might be discovered and using enchanting magic to worm their way into the hearts and minds of others they would use for their diabolic purposes.
