This week we are looking at magical armor and shields! For too long have our adventurers gone out in the world with fancy weapons and magic items, but their armor remains the same old boring +1 bonus to AC. Of course, it's hard to argue with a 5% boost to not getting hit in the face, but where's the fun in that? You got hit points, use them!
Barbed Armor Don't you hate it when you keep getting swallowed since you are in the front line? Now you can celebrate being grappled and swallowed as you are like the ferocious porcupine... pointy.
Breastplate of Escape Now you see me, now you don't as I'm now in a demiplane, safe from death and destruction. This armor is perfect for those scared of a fight or need a round or two to regain hit points or to stop getting hit in the face... then again, you could also use it as a bit of espionage, tricking the dragon to taking this magical breastplate as tribute to their awesomeness, with you planning on stealing all their treasure.
Dwarven Stonewall Shield Dwarves love nothing more than stones and wielding a shield larger than themselves [citation needed]. This shield is a massive chunk of rock that allows you to create a massive wall of stone to help protect your allies or hold off an entire tunnel of baddies from reaching you while you play a quick game of solitaire or throw on some powerful buffing spells.
Eelskin Armor Alright, it's a +1 armor, but it also grants you a Swim speed while in water! That's pretty useful unless you are already an eel. Though, if you are an eel wearing armor made of eelskin... isn't that a bit gruesome?
Ghost-Form Armor Your survival rates as an adventurer are pretty low, why not go ahead and figure out what its like to be a ghost before you become one? This armor is made of spooky ephemera and it feels like you aren't wearing anything at all... comfy!
Last Chance Armor Made from the dirt in a graveyard, this armor gives you one more chance to charge in and win the day before you are permanently in the ground. Though, don't rely on this property - once you use it, you need to spend time haunting a graveyard to get its property back.
Shield Cloak It's a cloak! It's a shield! No, it's Shield Cloak! This wonderful cloak is perfect for those who can't decide if they want to bash in skulls or hide behind a shield.
Single Focus Shield Sometimes your single focused rage at someone marring your perfect body with their attacks means you end up not paying too much attention to the rest of the battle. This shield grants you a major boost against a single creature's attacks, while leaving the others free to attack you while you are distracted.
