What really exists in the void between the planets? Is it dangerous? Is it sentient? Is it looking down on us right now, ready to blow our minds with knowledge? While we may never know if Cthulu is from divine inspiration or wild imagination, there are secrets beyond the world that these mystics try to dredge for secret and forbidden knowledge. This codex contains NPCs that run secret societies, cheat laborers of coins for fake readings, and those looking to explore the worlds and unlock the magic of celestial objects and the meaning of their positions within the havens above.

Apocryphian (CR 12) The leader of a secret organization, apocryphon means secret knowledge while apocryhpian is those who know the secret knowledge. These are mysterious individuals who run large secret societies, having somehow escaped the madness of knowledge taken from creatures outside our understanding.

Astronomer (CR 3) Sometimes one looks into the stars and void of space, and something gazes back. Most astronomers are just interested in the rotation of planets and what they could mean, but some delve too deep and find only madness within the darkness.

Branch Leader (CR 7) Somehow has to watch over a branch of a society and these individuals are often high up within the organization and have unlocked some of the secrets that the leader has. They are often entrusted with the training of new arrivals, though this knowledge can also be weaponized against their enemies.

Charlatan (CR 4) Some have been on the guise of a mystic, promising to read cards, palms, or anything else you'd like for the promise of coins. They don't really care about the hidden truths above but are often thieves who care about their next meal.

Mystikos (CR 1/2) An initiate to a secret society, these individuals have shown some promise but they are still lacking knowledge. They must work hard to focus their understanding of the cosmos, as their connection to it is largely unreliable.
