I began a series of drawings last year for my friend James Newland's magazine LEASH. He was doing a special PRIDE issue and asked if I'd like to contribute anything for it.
I'd had an idea for some time about a series of drawings of guys street dancing, but done up in the kind of outfits I most enjoy- bumpkin wear of bib overalls and rubber boots, waders, even rubber catsuits. If I were to give each of those dancers a color theme corresponding to one color band of the rainbow PRIDE flag, I thought that'd look pretty darn nifty. James agreed.
Unfortunately, other commitments prevented me from meeting James' deadline, so he had to go to press with the issue without my art. At long last, here it is completed. I think it tuned out rather well and wanted to share it with you.
Enjoy.
