Magic Item Monday - Balls
Added 2020-08-17 16:52:34 +0000 UTCI wanted to do something a little different this week and reach back to the earlier editions when creating the magic items. In1st and 2nd editions, magic items that didn't fit into a clear cut group weren't just thrown in the wondrous items section. Each type of object had its category, which I've always thought was cool. I think it led to each strange, non-conformist item to have more than just one of it, even though some of the items, such as the abacus, probably shouldn't have any.
One such item was the ball. There are a surprising number of homebrew balls that have been created, but no official content. My favorite is Lorthe's ball, as I was able to channel all my negative 8th-grade memories into the homebrew.
As always, a big thanks to Stephen for cleaning up all the mechanics language. I will figure it out eventually. I hope you enjoy them, and feedback is always appreciated.
