I (Stephen) am going to be running a one-shot on August 22nd but first I need a few players - which is where you come in. This will be a first-come, first-serve though our $3 and $5 patrons get first dibs. After that, I'll be opening it up to our $1 patrons (15th) and a few days later opening it up to anyone on our Discord (17th). I have room for 6 players in the one-shot.
Time:
August 22nd, 2020 [20200822]
12pm EDT to about 4pm / 5pm EDT [4pm UTC to about 8pm / 9pm UTC]
The adventure:
We will be playing inside of the Planescape setting and out in the Outlands. Our one-shot will be from The Great Modron March - 2nd edition adventure, so expect Modrons and marching!
A sudden Modron March has started almost 100 years before it was supposed to and the inhabitants of the planes are worried about the end of the multiverse as they know it! Modrons are being attacked as they march with dozens and dozens of them being destroyed! The paladin lord Sir Vaimish Crasad has hired YOU to help protect the modrons as they make their way across the Outlands to Tradegate.
If you took part in the previous Modron one-shot, this is a chance to learn more about the Modrons, for those that missed it, that's perfectly fine! This is a self-contained one-shot and all valuable information you may need will be provided by me, your benevolent DM.
For character generation:
- Characters are made using the Dungeons & Dragons 5e ruleset
- Standard Stat Array or Point Buy
- Level the character up to 4th level
- Characters are restricted to Player's Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes.
- Magic items can be selected from the Dungeon Master's Guide or Xanathar's Guide to Everything. You can select up to 2 common items and 1 uncommon item.
- Multiclassing and Feats are allowed
- We will be interacting with humanoids
- No evil characters. Your characters should want to be part of the story and be interested in what happens next.
Before the game:
- Send me your character sheet
- Set up an account on Roll20
- Select a character token/portrait and send it to me so I can set it up on Roll20
Helpful tips:
- Due to time constraints, I'll be pacing combat quickly, please read through your character abilities and have a rough understanding of how it all works.
- If you are using DnDBeyond, I recommend the Beyond20 extension for Chrome and Firefox as it can allow for very fast rolling on the virtual tabletop.
- Ensure you have a working microphone (phone or computer mic is fine) and working speakers/headphones.
Background:
For the background of your character, you can be from a wide variety of different worlds who somehow stumbled upon Sigil, or maybe ya ain't a clueless and ya been touting the cant since ya were wee. Regardless of how you arrived in Sigil or the Outlands, your character should have a thirst for adventure and maybe even have a few stories about daring heroics. Your character wants to help and has attracted the attention of a powerful individual in the Planes.
