Fomorians [Monster Thursday]

Now you might be confused because didn't I already post about the Formians? To that I say, these are Fomorians, not Formians. Strangely close names and they have nothing to do with each other. - Stephen

This week I am back to a monster and I can't be more excited! The Feywild is a pretty wonderful... dangerous... wonderful? place to visit and there is a lot of non-sense you can drag your table into. One of the most dangerous creatures that lurk through the Feywild are the fomorians who believe that they should rightfully have complete control over the Feywild and its inhabitants. 

In fact, Astrazalian is an eladrin city under near-constant siege of those hideous giants, one of the few elven cities in their area that has not fallen to the horrible creatures. They are always looking for powerful adventurers to show up and help kill some giants, so if you are light on gold - now you know where to go. 

Going back to the Fomorians, these hideous giants were once beautiful creatures whose beauty surpassed even that of the elves. Their lust for power and beauty caused the other fey to curse them, and they ran into the dark tunnels of the Feydark beneath the Feywild. Here, they plot the eventual demise of the fey and how they will conquer the world.

This monster thursday presents six stat blocks that you can use in this epic struggle - though I cheated a bit and two of them are for cyclops. But that's OK! Cyclops are the only creatures that a fomorian will ever trust and cyclops live quite closely to the fomorians and act as artisans, bodyguards and more. 

The six stat blocks are:

Cyclops Storm Rider (CR 8) - A cyclops who can control the weather.
Cyclops Feyblade (CR 11) - A powerful cyclops warrior that can teleport around the battlefield.
Fomorian Runt (CR 4) - A teensy weensy giant that is regularly abused by the other fomorians.
Fomorian Shaman (CR 10) - A shaman or oracle that can summon undeath and sucking wounds.
Fomorian Blinder (CR 14) - Torture and pleasure go hand in hand with the blinder, who is expertely skilled in hurting creatures.
Thrumbolg, the Lord of Mag Tureah (CR 24) - The tyrant of fomorians, this mighty creature is prophesized to only ever die at the hands of his children - which he has conveniently killed already.
