Faces of Sigil [Monster Thursday]

Maybe we have a problem, maybe it's only Stephen that has the problem actually. This week we are looking at a few creatures that can be found in Sigil, the City of Doors! The basic premise of this was, what are some interesting people that you could run into while exploring the planar metropolis? Today, we are going to introduce you to a few of the factions, a lady who has all the answers, an the mysterious custodians of the plane. 

Dabus
These strange creatures appear to be the custodians and maintenance workers of the plane. They hover over the ground, working on broken buildings, replacing pave stones, and ensure that the sewers never back up. Without them, Sigil would be a horrifying wasteland and would resemble more of a junkyard than a functioning city.  Image of the Dabus 

The Dustmen
We are all already dead, at least that's what the Dustmen think. This unique faction of Sigil is focused on collecting the dead of the Sigil and doing... something with them. If someone dies, the Dustmen collect the dead and bring it back to the Mortuary and catalog the person. No one knows why they are collecting all the dead or their ultimate goal. 

Ethyks
These are not normally found on Sigil, but due to a recent shipment going a bit awry, they have now begun infesting the Hive ward and causing a huge ruckus. Most call these mammals pests, though they are great allies to anyone that can bond with one. Plus, they make everyone else go angry, and that's a right laugh. Image of the Ethyk 

Kylie the Tout
The best guide in all of Sigil is Kylie, a young tiefling who is as charming as she is attractive. She is reportedly the best at providing gossip, answers, rumors, and more about anyone and everyone in Sigil. Despite all the dirt she obviously has on everyone, most people seem to actually like her and find her a great charmer. Image of Kylie 

The Mercykillers
Justice will purify the multiverse, and once the multiverse is purified, it can finally reach perfection. The mercykillers are focused on enacting justice for any and all laws bent, broken or skirted around and care little for your pleas of mercy. Mercy is for the weak and only allows criminals to get away without facing true justice. Mercykillers operate the Prison in Sigil and are responsible for meeting out justice to the fullest extent of the law. 

Duke Rowan Darkwood
This relative newcomer to Sigil has skyrocketed to the high-ups of Sigil and might be the single most powerful person in Sigil when it comes to politics... and maybe even fighting. His life has been long, hard, and filled with fantastic journeys that many might find hard to believe, but he has the scars, and powers, to back up each story. If half of what he claims is true, there's a reason why everyone has some grudging respect for this bullish man. Image of the Duke
