Well, needless to say, I’ve been so fucking busy that I can’t seem to get collected. I’ve been trying to post these damn pictures since I got back, but alas - life.
This was my first time doing makeup on 20 extras for a big film. I thought I was doing makeup on only 7, but that 7 turned into 20. It’s always an amazing time going down to Digital Thunderdome. I finally had the chance to meet Wayne Anderson, who is one of the most talented artists in Hollywood. I had a chance to prove my skill in a very tight situation - that of which, I think, turned out pretty decent. Devour has been one of those films that’s been drug out to an abysmal never ending loop. In truth, it should have been done much sooner, but with scheduling conflicts, money, you name it - it’s impossible.
This was also the first time I had the chance to meet Shannon, one of my Patreon subscribers and internet friends for years! I had the privilege of doing makeup on her and getting to act in the human sludge scene. That scene itself was fucking incredible. I ate a chicken breast out of stagnant water, which…are we surprised? Admittedly, I stress very hard before set. I have no idea why. It’s probably because I suffer horribly from OCD, and sometimes I convince myself I suck. Either way, it’s a situation that forces you to react or quit, and I’m grateful for the harsh lessons it teaches.
And, I’m going to share with you all a VERY rough cut of a Devour trailer. It’s going to be fucking incredible, y’all.
