As many of you know, I need surgery on my right knee. It’s not something I was looking forward to, but now that I know the facts—I’m eager.
Tibia plateau fractures account for 2% of fractures. Which means, this little, minute break is extremely rare, and extremely annoying. I still don’t know what caused the impact to damage my knee, but whatever it was, I truly did not feel it in the accident. All I remember is kicking open the car door and running away from the car.
Anyway, the facts are:
So, it is extremely positive in that sense. The surgeon performing the procedure did my best friend’s torn ACL surgery, and she’s walking perfectly fine. I’ll need two screws put in to put the bone back together. This will stimulate faster bone growth so I can get up and walking again faster.
They want me in PT a week after the operation, which tells me that this has some promising results overall.
It’s been an event, and it’s definitely a good opportunity for me to practice gratitude. I just can’t thank y’all on here enough for sticking by me, and riding out this really bizarro wave. So, y’all the real MVPS. I hope you know that. And if you weren’t sure, you are, and I’m fucking grateful for all of you.
