As I’m reviewing the Card Slinger chapters in preparation for the Royal Road release, I’ve come across a few things I’d love your input on.
⚠️ Spoiler warning: If you haven’t read past Chapter 13, stop here!
So, here’s the thing—whenever Deckard completes a milestone, he unlocks a new card and a skill.
Now I’m wondering:
Should he also receive a stat bonus?
For example, let’s say he finishes the Seagull Set. Should he get a small attack speed boost on top of the benefits the cards already give him? Or should the new card and its effects (plus any stat bonuses baked into the card itself) be the full reward?
Let me know what you think! Would love to hear your thoughts on balance and progression. 👇

I think a bonus depending on the rarity of the set is fair. It takes a while to complete a full set after all, but the extra bonuses would be lost If cards from the set are traded/lost.
