A Moment of Gratitude
Added 2021-11-23 13:42:35 +0000 UTCThis is the time of year when families gather round to celebrate thankfulness. The older I get, the more I do tend to appreciate life, and the beautiful things that have entered into it.
This time last year, Jim and I were battling COVID. It took us over a month to fully recover; with Jim almost winding up on a ventilator. That was arguably the scariest period of my life, knowing I could lose the only thing in my life I love more than life itself. I won’t harp on my stance with COVID—but I’ll just say I never want it again.
We missed Thanksgiving last year; Christmas was empty and felt so dreary—having COVID ruined our holidays. Fast forward to now, and on Thursday, we are having a full house, filled with friends, cheer, and celebration.
It shouldn’t take one day out of a year to give you a sense of gratitude, but the holidays are time when people should truly appreciate things that are taken for granted everyday. Waking up this morning, I am most grateful for health; I am grateful for the opportunity to wake up next to Jim and know he’s healthy and alive.
I’m grateful for my mom, sister, and niece.
I’m grateful for air.
I’m grateful for the earth.
I’m grateful for laughter.
I’m grateful for good friends.
And I’m grateful for loyalty, support, and individuality.

What are you guys grateful for? From this moment forward, I want to give a piece of my mindfulness to you all, and create a ripple effect of positivity throughout the day.
Thank you all for being alive, here, and the wonderful people you all are. I’m very grateful for you all and allowing me to be me. ❤️

I’m thankful for being able to homeschool our kids in such a crazy world, and being able to teach them to think for themselves.
