Sanguinity - Chapter 7
Added 2025-08-21 12:53:35 +0000 UTCNew chapter, in a week?
Woo!
Also, as you'll see in the Author's Note at the beginning of the chapter, I'm experimenting with adding music to certain scenes for readers to enjoy. Whether you listen to the song as you read, pause your reading to listen, or go to the song after the chapter is up to you, but the song is just so spot on that I couldn't not use it. This won't be a common thing, but every once and a while I think having "theme" songs for the scene happening is a fun idea.
Plus I just really love music, so getting to share some of the incredibly talented people I've stumbled across is awesome. If this isn't your thing, no worries, and I hope having a link in text isn't too distracting.
Anyway, enjoy everyone! Next chapter is already being written and I'm VERY unhappy with it because... it's turning out way too long. My goal of shorter chapters is absolutely being shattered with this next one, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to split it up. Instead, I'm just going to give this chapter a pass but note that it might slow down my current pace due to how long its taking, so the chapter after might be a bit longer.
Anyway, I hope you all are enjoying Gwen's adventure so far! Thanks for your support, and without further rambling, the chapter:

A proper welcome for Gwen to Worm (easy mode)! Also something smells of snake skin in here, at least if our little snake didn't get AU'd away.

She doesn’t know that Ms. Militia was there, or that 2 of the dead were her parents attacked by 4 gangers, or that her instant of triggering was a presumably fatal head wound. But yeah from what I’ve heard Worm is a very emotionally painful story.

But with the hints in your story so far I can certainly see why Worm is so grimdark. With people unable to perform basic reasoning and having little compassion (Brandish) it's no wonder it's a grimdark world.
