Now that he finally had a chance to catch his breath, Roth eagerly examined the gear he had received as a reward for completing the [Cat Burglar] quest.

[Woodland Hood] (Uncommon)

Item description: A hood crafted by the combined efforts of Ratan weavers and Raven artisans. It is a piece of a set.

Item effects: +10 HP; +5 Strength

Set Effects:

If three pieces of the woodland set are equipped, it grants +1 to all stats.

If all five pieces of the woodland set are equipped, it grants +3 to all stats and +10% to all nature skills.

Restrictions: Lvl. 10. Can be equipped by all classes.

[Woodland Jacket] (Uncommon)

Item description: A jacket crafted by the combined efforts of Ratan weavers and Raven artisans. It is a piece of a set.

Item effects: +5% damage reduction; +3 strength; +3 dexterity

Set Effects:

If three pieces of the woodland set are equipped, it grants +1 to all stats.

If all five parts of the woodland set are equipped, it grants +3 to all stats and +10% to all nature skills.

Restrictions: Lvl. 10. Can be equipped by all classes.

[Woodland Trousers] (Uncommon)

Item description: A pair of trousers crafted by the combined efforts of Ratan weavers and Raven artisans. It is a piece of a set.

Item effects: +3% damage reduction; +5 dexterity; +10 energy

Set Effects:

If three pieces of the woodland set are equipped, it grants +1 to all stats.

If all five pieces of the woodland set are equipped, it grants +3 to all stats and +10% to all nature skills.

Restrictions: Lvl. 10. Can be equipped by all classes.

He couldn't help but be amazed at how much better it was than his current equipment. It was like a giant leap forward, offering him many fantastic bonuses that boosted his strength, agility, health, and energy.

Although he hadn't really needed to rely much on his health points, he understood the value of having more energy. With increased energy, he could run longer and faster, an essential quality for his character's progression.

As for the bonuses to his strength, he welcomed them. With so many trade agreements, the more weight he could carry, the better it would be for him. Once he got to the city, one of his most outstanding priorities was to find a way to increase his weight capacity.

What excited him the most about this gear was that it formed a complete set. Apart from the different parts of the set matching and completing his cool ensemble, the set bonus elevated the equipment to another level. Having a bonus of +3 to all his stats was a total of 18 stats. That was three whole levels worth of free stat points!

Sadly, he only had three pieces of it, but even with that, its bonus was incredibly useful. Having a +1 boost to all his stats was nothing short of amazing. The only slight disappointment was that he already had decent headgear, and he would have preferred receiving gloves or a cape instead.

He had to try to get a hold of two more pieces of this set. If he did, the bonus would be even better. He took a mental note to look for them the next time he visited the city. Who knew? It was just uncommon equipment, and there must be other ways of getting it.

After he had equipped all the items, he couldn't help but notice how much cooler he looked. He resembled a modern-day Robin Hood, with his new jacket perfectly complementing the black hue of his [Raven Feather Earrings] and his dark [Errand Cloak].

"Lead the way, prince! Let's go meet the lord." Roth felt his voice had become valiant and heroic, but it might just result from his good mood after equipping this sweet new gear.

"We don't need to go anywhere, human. Behold. The Lord of Woods is right here. All you need to do is open your mind."

The air started shimmering as if it was a scorching day. The particles around him trembled more quickly and vigorously until a new picture formed before Roth. It was as if a bubble had burst in his mind, and an invisible fog had been lifted.

The number of notifications that Roth received left him dizzy for a moment. He opened up the titles to see what they did.

[Pioneer] (Uncommon)

Title description: After discovering new hidden rooms and maps, you have gained a taste for the joys of exploration. You set out to keep learning the hidden wonders of the world.

- You gain +50% more experience from discovering new maps.

Conditions to unlock [Pioneer]:

- Find five secret rooms {Complete}.

Not bad. It wasn't the most helpful title since there would be few instances when he would discover new maps. After two years of the game being around, he considered himself extremely lucky to have been the first to find the hidden maps inside the Green Woods. He'd discovered the True Throne Room inside the Rat's Cave; the Baroness' Chamber in the Fox Tunnels; Count Crow's Office; the location for the Council of Badgers; and now the Palatial Clearing.

But how could he guarantee he would keep discovering more hidden rooms in other maps? After all, it had been two years since Astro Terra had been released. There were billions of players looking for lucky breaks and fortuitous encounters.

Too bad he hadn't unlocked this sooner. Much of the experience that had helped him reach this high level had been unlocked from quests and achievements such as these. Just now, he had gained two levels from exploration-related achievements.

He opened the [Explorer] title to see the difference from [Pioneer].

[Explorer] (Epic)

Title Effects: Your relentless patience and insight have helped you to uncover many secrets and find locations that no one had dreamed existed.

Title effects: You have the [Search] skill.

Conditions to unlock [Explorer]:

- Be the first to fully explore a region. (Complete)

Search (Epic)

Skill description: By focusing your senses to exhaustion, your subconscious is activated, and you can feel where a secret room is.

Skill effects: Active. Locate hidden doors or passages in a 13-meter radius. (????.WIS). Cooldown: 1 hour.

This title synergized very powerfully with [Pioneer]. After all, with this, he had just greatly increased his chances of discovering new hidden rooms. With that his experience with certainly skyrocket.

What a broken title. It was his very first epic-grade title. He remembered reading that some titles awarded skills. The forums described such titles as being god-tier.

To find secret rooms, he had used his connections with factions and spent much time doing so. Just finding the baroness' chambers had taken him a whole day. Not to speak of all the other rooms that had taken him many hours to find.

This title would save him a lot of time. For example, he had been to this clearing multiple times before and knew something peculiar about it. He would have certainly used [Search] if he had it. This was, by far, a more valuable title than the previous one. Roth resisted the urge to dance.

Finally, he looked at the skill card he had received as a reward for being the first to fully explore the Green Woods region.

Green Woods Blessing (Rare)

Skill description: You know this place like the back of your hand. Your knowledge of this place's ecology and geography gives you an edge over the competition.

Skill effects: Active. +5 to all stats. The bonus is doubled when inside the Green Woods.

Roth didn't have any buff skills, and adding +5 to all stats was pretty valuable. Moreover, he would keep coming back to the Green Woods frequently. After all, he had many trade agreements here that he wanted to keep.

As the illusion around him finished unveiling. A beautiful sight greeted Roth. It wasn't the first time he was seeing something like this. One of the Ratan Tapestries in the True Throne Room portrayed this place. He had assumed that it was a scene imagined by the artist. Now he could see where the weaver had gained his inspiration.

The clearing around Roth had transformed completely. A tall tree stretched high into the skies, and its canopy covered the whole clearing. Roth tried to wrap his head around the scale of the enormity of what was in front of him, but it was more than his mind could process.

His hearing also picked up signs of life and movement around him. There were mice and rats playing catch as they darted under and through the roots stretching out from the tree. There were orange and brown foxes napping under its shade. A badger scratched his back against the hard bark of the tree. Above, he saw ravens perched on the branches engaging in friendly conversation. He was surprised to see that Count Crow was also here. Was this where he and the baroness had tea?

The Boar King knelt before the tree and gestured for Roth to do the same. Roth felt his mind being pricked and prodded, and there was a connection. He started hearing speech in his mind.

"Martyr, you are an interesting human." Roth heard the voice in his mind. It felt like a breeze or as if there was warm sunlight on his face. This creature was telepathic!

Oh my goodness! Three titles in a minute. What was going on? He checked the new title. It was amazing!

[Discoverer of Species] (Rare)

Title description: You have become an ambassador between different species and peoples. You follow leads wherever they may lead, and you have been able to discover a previously unknown race.

Title effects:

- Grants +5 wisdom;

- The first time you interact with any race, receive a 50% bonus for your charisma. It lasts an hour.;

Conditions to unlock [Discoverer of Species]:

- Be the first one to meet a race. {complete}

This was, by far, his favorite title after [Martyr]. The bonus to his charisma would be priceless when he met new races. First impressions could go a long way toward unlocking quests, gaining reputation points, or asking for favors.

He was feeling tempted to spend all his free stat points on charisma. It would make this title's effect even more meaningful. Roth brought his mind back to earth and tried to focus on the dialogue. This was no simple NPC, and he had to concentrate.

"Lord, I greet you."

"You are… different from all other humans that have passed by these woods." Why couldn't he catch a break? He just wanted to check his items and titles. But

"How so, my Lord?"

"Most of your race tears down trees instead of planting them. You have come to these woods, but I haven't seen you hurt a soul. On the contrary, you seem to be on good terms with all life, and that's something rare, human."

"I thank you, Lord."

"I would like to propose you an agreement. If you promise to defend the woods and forests of this world and protect them from the vile humans that hunt, eat, and kill us, we will grant you powers beyond your wildest dreams. You will have the power to uproot evil and to destroy those who harm us."

The Boar King bowed deeper. "This is a great honor, human."
