NARUTO SHIPPUDEN THE MOVIE [REACTION]

Well, still not sure how this movie will tie into the series if at all, but its always nice seeing Naruto grow, and motivate others to live their truths! This one, as usual, had some pretty great themes, and a powerful message!

I also can't believe Naruto was propositioned to be a baby daddy... and he said yes🤣🤣🤣

Oh wow! Thank you for clarifying cause that’s embarrassing on my part😅😂 I love that Masashi likes to include his love of his cultural history within his writing! It definitely helps to make the Naruto story itself feel like it’s also rooted in the history. Feels so much more real! Which is probably why he always makes me feel like I’m watching real people just being animated🥹 As usual, thank you once again for that little bit more info on the historical relevance!

I’m planning on watching all the movies, so if I forget please remind me of this “hidden” movie/mini arc! Wanna make sure I get everything, in order this time😂

You know, I thought that it was based off of actual history, but the only reason I thought that was because of the mummy 3, and I felt it best not to advertise I’d watched that…😂

I mean he was down, so I can see why😂

So about Kakashi's lightning blade + chidori : those are 2 different techniques ^^ Chidori literally means "a thousand birds" because the noise that jutsu makes is like the sound of a thousand birds (fun fact : chidori can also mean "plover"), whereas lightning blade in Japanese is "Raikiri". Kakashi already used lightning blade against Zabuza ^^ And just like the Chikamatsu Monzaemon reference I mentionned in episode 32, Kakashi's chidori + raikiri are a reference to a story about a man who really existed ! In the 16th century, there was a samurai named Tachibana Dosetsu. He owned a sword called "chidori" (a thousand birds). One day, he got struck by lightning so he used his chidori sword to cut the Thunder God (Japanese name : Raijin ^^) who was inside the lightning bolt and managed to live. Tachibana then renamed his sword from "chidori" to "raikiri" (lightning blade) ! And from the Naruto story and timeline : Kakashi created the chidori, then he used it to slice lightning and finally his jutsu "evolved" from chidori to raikiri, just like the samurai story ^^ It's funny how a just few days ago in my Chikamatsu Monzaemon comment I was wondering how many references we're not aware of. Kakashi's jutsus' names are other good examples of what might seem trivial but are actually deeply rooted in the Japanese culture :) Masashi Kishimoto did a great job once again ^^ And again, there's no mention of that in the manga whatsoever... From now on I'm going to assume everything is a cultural reference ahah

Hi C. ! I don't know if you're going to watch all the Shippuden movies, if you are then I just wanted to let you know that there's a "hidden" movie in the Shippuden animé : episodes 290 to 295 is a movie that was split into animé episodes/mini arc (to celebrate the Naruto franchise reaching 500 episodes). That movie's storyline features some stuff from the main story (can't say more because they're spoilers ^^)

Also the stone army is based on the Terracotta Army of the Qin Dynasty. Very interesting stuff. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terracotta_Army. A link if you're interested in reading more

As for the movies, think of them as What If scenarios, like an alternate canon if you wish. Because there are things that may be shown in movies that clearly influence something later on. I personally cant wait for Road to Ninja which is the 5th or 6th movie. I know you will love that one. As well Naruto the Last which is story canon at the end of the series. But for now looking forward to the upcoming episodes and the next movie.

Nice reaction C. I always laugh at the end when Shion was like let's make a baby Naruto. lol. It's a long running meme. 😅
