Added 2019-10-31 22:22:09 +0000 UTCPreview of a video on making ammonia. Do you think it's complete enough to post? Should i hold it until i have the 4th method ready (where i react ammonia solution and acid to concentrate it and react with strong base to release it)?

Also I think it has to be pretty pure to meet the ISO standards and not mess up expensive SCR systems. Should be able to count on 32.5% concentration as well. 2.5 gallons is about $12-15 US.
2019-11-03 04:15:27 +0000 UTCActually with DEF you don't even need to do much to it to get ammonia. I had a jug sit in my garage for 6 months and when I opened it it stank of ammonia to high heaven. I ended up using in the car anyway and it worked just as well.

2019-11-02 20:08:31 +0000 UTCA cheap and easily accessible source of urea, already dissolved and in the right concentration, is Diesel exhaust fluid. That is 33% pure urea in water. I buy it for $12/2.5gallon jug at walmart.
