copper onto gold requires a different set of chemicals. If you happen to have everything in a convenient kit then sure.

Keep in mind silver plates onto copper even without help. The reduction potential for silver is much higher than that of copper. So thiourea wouldn't do much. The problem with silver is that the plating quality is terrible, it rubs off easily. You need other additives for that.
