I feel like there is something missing, can't quit put my finger on it.

The same here in Canada. On the other hand finding sulfuric acid in small quantity is almost impossible. Drano and other plumbing stuff dont use it anymore.

Sometimes it's sold as muriatic acid, and people don't always know that it's the same thing as hydrochloric acid. My only aggravation is that I had to buy it at a minimum of 1-gallon. Similar to my gallon of toluene (which I think is no longer sold in my state), I really hate storing larger volumes of creepy chemicals in my house, and I'd much rather buy it by the pint or quart.

At least with these one-off experiments if i fail, i can discard and go onto the next one without worry. It's a lot less stressful now :)
