As a prelude to tutorials and guides i plan to do in the future, here is a comparison of the base clothing mesh(right) and the finished one (left) for those that are interested in such stuff :)

The vertex count of the finished one is 10546 while the base has 5487.

As you can imagine it takes quite some time to add that amount of detail while keeping the UV mapping intact.

The character is Jill Valentine from RE5GE which is from 2009/2010. The quality of the mesh is surprisingly good compared to its age, some later games which are 2-3 old years old have much worse quality.
