So many episodes of this show has had me bawling. To the amazing writers & talented cast. This show deserves so many more awards and attention then it has gotten. I was bawling pretty much all the same times you were. It does make me a bit salty that he never really got to know his mom while she was alive. The show does an amazing job at trying to make things in the show reflect the true reality of lived experiences. Such as the long term lingering affects of long-term abuse and violence in the home and just how much and how long parts of it stay with you and ripple through generations long after you've gotten out. It beaks my heart that Jack never got the chance to know her when she was alive after leaving his father.
