Little Daisy (Test From God)

((Y/N)'s POV)

I was hearing voices while I felt so dizzy on something soft and then I opened my eyes to see I was in a dark room with moonlight coming in. I heard snoring then saw Wick and Rocky on the floor but I didn't see Freckle... They were asleep. I thought about leaving but I didn't know where I was or where I could go with Serafine and Nico out there. They also have a lot of crazy friends and anyone who sees me will be bad too... I wish I had stayed in the bunker because maybe I could have tried to fix it or maybe just made a new home hidden somewhere. I don't think building a house is that hard because I can find a cave then cover the entrance with vines or something, farm for food, and cook food with a campfire. 

(Y/N)'s mind-It can't be that hard.

I tried to think of what else I could do but then I thought about if someone found me... Mitzi might still be a little bad because she is in charge of bad kitties but I don't know. Leaving the bed seemed scary now because what if they get angry that I left the bed?

(Y/N)-Sigh.

(Nina's POV)

I woke up in the middle of the night in my bed after some kind of dream with what I didn't know a thing about. I gave myself a quick prayer and cleansed myself of that evil dream from the devil before I went to Freckle's room to see him asleep.

Nina's mind-Calm down, it was just a nightmare and the evil was cleansed away... Monsters. What a silly thing to dream about.

I went to see what else really happened. I remember seeing Rocky and some fancy fella named Wick while having tea. I walked over to the guest room and opened the door slowly to see... Wick and Rocky were sleeping on the floor.

I don't want Rocky in this house! I would storm in and kick him out if Wick wasn't there but then I wondered why they were both on the floor... I peeked in some more to see a lump under the blankets completely covered. Like someone's pulling the blanket tightly over them to hide. This made me think of...

Nina's mind-That was just a dream. Demons should be unable to enter my home. Rocky may be completely out of control but even he should be protected from demons because I had him and Freckle Baptized.

Thoughts kept running through my head like a raging train until I just rolled up my sleeves to walk up to the bed silently. When I got close, the figure on the bed started to whimper which made me stop. 

Nina's mind-Am I still dreaming?... It has to be the creature... Yes, this still has to be a dream... Nay, a test from God.

My heart felt heavy but I crossed my heart and did a prayer before remembering my soul was protected and cleansed. I calmed my nerves slowly before I pulled the blanket to see the creature while thinking about what this test could be.

???-Whimper N-No. whisper

I remember a verse in the bible. God commands his people to never mistreat a fatherless and motherless child. He promises that if you do mistreat those children in need, thy shall hear the child's cries. I did this with Rocky in real life so this is but a simple task. As the tears of this... child of the unknown were falling, I wiped his tears before picking him up to take him with me out of this room and to mine. If this test is to be done, then I will show I will provide comfort in my own space.

Nina's mind-I remember Freckle being this light... These odd-looking white clothes, soft blue eyes... This has to be angelic!

We made it to my room and I put the angel on my bed while he still looked like he had the hibbie-jibbies.

Nina-Fear not, young one. I will not hurt you.

((Y/N)'s POV)

I felt so scared and confused about who this lady was. She saw me and the first thing she did was take me to a room that smelled a lot like her then she put me on her bed for some reason. She kept on looking at me and then held up one of my arms to look at my clothes that had dirt on them now.

???-Oh, please excuse me. My name is Nina. What is your name?

(Y/N)-... (Y/N).

Nina-Well, (Y/N) do you mind telling me the last thing you remembered before you awoken?

I told her that a lady named Serafine and a guy named Nico did this to me and they had friends that had bones of dead animals everywhere, wanted me to take a bath in blood, and I think wanted to mount me on a wall. While I told her the story she was washing and hanging up my jacket to dry before she took my socks to wash them too.

Nina-Such evil demons! To torture an angel from the Heavens.

(Y/N)-A-Angel?

Nina-Worry not, I worship and serve the lord you serve as well. I will offer a bath so you may wash the evil off of you.

Wash the evil off of me?! You can get evil on you? Is it that weird stuff Serafine liked to do? She told me to leave my clothes by the door to the bathroom so she could wash them while I was in the bath she made for me. I tried to copy what Mitzi did but extra hard so all that magic stuff is off of me.

(Y/N)'s mind-Ok... I think... the magic is off of me... Wait, how long will it take for my clothes to dry?

I got out, drained the tub, and took a towel left for me then also saw a robe left in here all folded with a necklace shaped like a lowercase T... I just put both of them on and opened the door to see Nina on her knees and bowed her head to me. This made me panicked and confused! Why is she bowing her head to me?!

Nina-Greetings. I washed all your clothes and saw to it that all the evil and grime had been cleansed.

(Y/N)-U-Um... Thanks but please don't bow to me.

I wanted to tell her that it was weird but I think that would be rude. She got on her knees and took my hand to walk slowly with me because I was scared of tripping over the robe since it was way too big on me... I thought about what she said before about demons and angels...

(Y/N)'s mind-Does she think I am an angel?

She picked me back up when I almost tripped then took me back to her room before she put me back on her bed. She tried to feel my back by rubbing it so I thought she was checking for wings. I thought about telling her the truth but then she might panic and hurt me so I had no idea what I should do. That's when she got on her knees again to look at me and then started to massage them.

Nina-Gasp!

(Y/N)-Wh-What?!

Nina-Is that a bruise on your foot?!

(No POV)

Just then Wick tossed and turned in his sweet a little and Mitzi who was still awake felt a small jolt of emotions boil up for a brief moment. She shrugged it off to go to bed and then head off to get (Y/N) in the morning.

(Nina's POV)

I was just a light bruise but to do such a thing to an angel would surely be the work of a demon or an evil person destined to burn forever in a lake of fire. He must be sore too so I think this message was more than just for comfort now. The thought of healing an angel made my heart skip a beat and I felt like not even a train could bring me down. Taking care of them felt like bliss.

(Y/N)-... U-Um... I think a bruise just needs ice.

Nina-Of course.

I could see the angels smiling at me now as I took care of one of their own. After about an hour, I noticed my treatments were making the boy sleepy. When I picked him up to tuck him into my bed, I felt his body nuzzle into mine... A cuddler. It made me think of when Freckle would do this when he was little... Meanwhile, Rocky would always do something completely crazy. I just got into bed to give him what he wanted which made his cheeks turn red. I wonder what that meant but I saw the shy movements and shifts all too well.

Nina's mind-Angels get shy around mortals? Or is this just him?... So adorable! ~

When he fell asleep I heard his cute snores and it made me feel tired. I am confident I passed this test from God because he was crying and fearful when I found him over an hour ago but now he was a snuggle bunny. Just a bit shy... But I didn't want this to end... I put my hands together for a prayer.

Nina's mind-Dear Lord, I thank you for this test from within my dreams to prove I can serve thee despite my found freedom but I ask you to allow me to care for this angel you sent until the end of my days on Earth and continue in Heaven other angels. Amen.

I closed my eyes and held this angel close to me.

(Wick's POV)

I woke up this morning holding my neck from my nightmare. Mitzi found a tiny scratch on (Y/N) arm that was not even bleeding but she still chained me in a basement. She used tools like corkscrews, rusty and dull knives, crowbars, broken glass, and cigars in all sorts of ways before she finally slit my throat. My heart felt like a feather when I realized it was just a nightmare.

Wick's mind-Calm down... It was just a nightmare and (Y/N) does not have a scratch on him. Everything will be just dandy.

I sat up and looked at the big... that was empty now... My heart sank and I believed that nightmare could very well become a reality now. 

Wick-R-Rocky, wake up! He's gone!

Rocky-Yawn Morning, Old Sport. What's the huh-bub all about?

Wick-(Y/N) got up and I don't know where he is! Mitzi is going to kill me!

Rocky-Take a breather. I'm sure he just had to use the John or get some water.

I got up and ran around the house to look for him. The doors and windows were still locked so he must still be inside the house. I woke up Freckle as well to help us search quietly before his mother wakes up which we still need to explain what happened last night... I am no stranger to bending the truth either, especially when the truth sounds crazy and could get a mob boss to have me hanging out to dry. We met up in the living room and we all looked worried because if we lost the human after Freckle called Mitzi to tell her we have him last night, they will be in the same boat as me.

Wick-O-O-Ok... Let's keep our heads.

Rocky-Keep our heads?! Ms. M will have ours too now delivered on a platter by the executioner!

Wick-C-C-C-Calm down!... Did we check 'every nook and cranny' of this house?!

Freckle-Well... 

Freckle looked upstairs and then led us to a door that was his mother's room. He tried to slowly open the door but it was locked so he knocked on the door.

Freckle-Um, Mom... Are you in there?

Nina-Freckle? You're up early. I got a surprise! ~

She sounded very chipper and lively this morning despite the scare we gave her after the disaster of tea time from our arrival.

Nina-Go down and set the table for breakfast and be a dear to cook too, please.

Freckle-Yes, Mom... You two, keep looking. Go outside and ask around. whisper

Nina-What was that?

Freckle-J-Just going over what we could do for breakfast... Eggs, toast, and bacon.

We all left and Rocky and I went outside to look for any signs of (Y/N) while asking if anyone noticed anything strange... Nothing. Just then Frackle came outside looking rather bothered by something.

Freckle-Um, Fellas... I found him.

Rocky-Phew Here I was worried Ms. M would feed us to the wolves.

I would be relieved if Freckle did not have that look on his face.

Wick-Is everything alright?

Freckle-You... have to come and see.

Thoughts rushed my mind and it made me think he got hurt somehow while hiding or maybe he was just in bad shape some other way that we had to clean without Nina finding out. When we got inside we were greeted by the sight of (Y/N) on Nina's lap and she was cuddling him on the couch on her lap.

Nina-Hello boys. This is (Y/N). An angel the lord gifted to me for passing a test from within my dreams. Though I must say, I never heard of an angel called a human before but he's such a Sweetheart. Wouldn't you agree? ~

She gave (Y/N) a kiss on his cheek and he shyly just sat there while she doted on him.

Wick's mind-This just went from bad to worse.

This just went from bad to worse. Just then the phone rang and Nina picked it up.

Nina-Hello?... Yes he is... Of course. Wick, it's for you.

My heart sank because I knew who it was but I took the phone. I took a deep breath before holding it to my ear while I saw Nina bouncing (Y/N) on her leg.

Wick-Hello?

Mitzi-Wiiick. How's my son? Rocky assured me he was with you and unharmed.

Wick-Y-Yes he is. Not so much as a scratch. Speck and spam. Just as you ordered.

Mitzi-Lovely. Ivy and I will be on our way over. Make sure nobody sees him and I have a blanket to wrap him in to hide him.

The boys and I looked grimmly while Nina was happily playing with (Y/N) on her lap still. This made me fluff up a bit.

Wick-Um... Understood ma'am.

Mitzi-Wonderful. On our way... Oh, and Wick... you are almost in the clear but that doesn't mean you are off the hook. This better not happen again, or else.

She hung up and I put the phone down before I went outside to the backyard before I fell to my knees.

Wick-WWWWWHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY?!?!?!

(Nina's POV)

I still find it hard to fathom that I have my own angel now! (Y/N) told me he was a human this morning while I dressed him in his clean clothes which must be the type of angel he is. I plan to call a priest over later this week to see what he knows about this type of angel. Rocky was getting too close to my angel so I turned (Y/N) away from him.

Nina-Just what are you doing? 

Rocky-Auntie, I'm afraid we need the visitor from Heaven to... take a trip with us later. ~

Nina-... Excuse you?

Rocky-Why thank you. Now, if you would kindly-. ~

SMACK

Nina-You shall not lay a hand on my angel let alone bring him anywhere!... Come on, (Y/N), let's get you fed.

I took him with me to the kitchen where Freckle was cooking and I thought some milk would be good before breakfast was ready. I poured a glass before sitting at the table with him on my lap. He tried to drink out of the glass himself but he spilled a little which looked adorable. I wiped the drops of milk and milk mustache on his face with a napkin before I took care of tipping the milk into his mouth to make this cleaner.

Nina-Awwww. Isn't that much better? ~

(Y/N)-U-Um... whimper A little.

Nina's mind-You just sit there and looks adorable for everyone... Oh just wait until the father sees you.

I still felt like I should be bowing before him again since he was an angel but it makes him shy so I will wait for him to adjust. When he was done drinking his milk he looked at me shyly before looking at the floor. I only kissed his head in response.

Nina's mind-My angel. ~

Mitzi's mind-Mommy is coming, (Y/N). ~

Ivy's mind-I'm coming, Sweetheart! ~
