(Serafine's POV)

Everyone was just outside my room while I was in the bath getting this creature clean with me and they seemed to be very shy about looking at me or me looking at them. It was always funny to see some sap freak out over a naked body rather if it was dead or alive. He should just be lucky after he got captured by a bunch of crazy gangsters the body he is seeing is alive and keeping him safe. Very rare when you are not on the same side. When we both got cleaned, I got him back in his clothes and put him into a cage that he made me clean the blood off of, or else he cries while I get dressed.

Serafine's mind-Acts like he has never seen blood before. I even told him it was from a bear... Must be one of those killjoys. Mordecai would fit in with him on hating fun.

Serafine-So what's your story or are you just gonna blubber like a baby again?

???-Whimper.

Serafine-Let me guess. Your mommy was some kind of Dumb-Dora while Daddy Deariest flapped his mouth too much until you wound up with a whole gangster family? ~

???-N-No.

Serafine-Sure. Well, not like it matters. Everyone outside is going to love getting a look at you... How about I get you out of that cage and let them get really close? I'm sure not all of them are packing heat or carrying shivs. Hahahahahahaaaa!

I turned to look at him only to see him backing up not wanting to come out now but if we wanted, we could reach through the bars or I could just open the door wide open. When I was all dolled up, I looked in the mirror and back to him.

Serafine-Try not to shiver too much out there, Little Fish. Others might not be able to resist taking a bite. ~

((Y/N)'s POV)

She started to push the cage and I sat in the middle while begging her not to take me out there where I heard lots of other people but she only chuckled. I think she forgot to lock the cage or something because I saw it move a little with the key inside of it before it closed again after hitting the door. I hoped nobody would notice and this cage would keep them out. When she kept on pushing I saw a lot more cat people in this room all looking at me now like I was something amazing but I just curled up.

Serafine-Ain't he something... Well, don't be shy. Get a closer look!

The cage was tipped and the door was quickly opened to pour me out onto the floor in the middle of everyone. I curled up on the floor and tried to get back in the cage when I saw it but Serafine's friend Nico closed it with his foot.

Nico-What's the matter, creature? Don't like company?

My body was shaking and I got picked up from behind by Serafine. Everyone was looking at me and while they were talking I was trying to look for a way to escape or at least find a place to hide. There was none because this room was just so full and everyone was looking at me. I was trying not to cry but then I saw a lot of bones hanging in the room like they were windchimes or something.

Cat Person#1-Is that creature crying?

Cat Person#2-Looks young?

Cat Person#3-Not much for a hunt or anything fun. More like a trophy.

I didn't like what they were all saying about me but I stopped paying attention to them because I was focusing on holding back my tears. Serafine sat down with me in her lap before lifting my chin up to look at her.

Serafine-If you want, you could always fall asleep right here. ~

She had a smile on her face that I did not like and when I tried to get away from her someone else leaned closer which made me back up. Everyone chuckled a little... I don't think I was going to sleep at all tonight.

(Timeskip To Morning)

(Rocky's POV)

Ms. M was very angry this morning. She was throwing things, sobbing, and yelling in ways that would even shake a mountain. Everyone tried to avoid her like the plague but I got called up personally by her so I could not escape this. I didn't do anything wrong... At least, I think I didn't. When I got up to the room I saw her and Wick in her office like he was trying to calm her down... A fruitless effort.

Rocky-Ms. M... You look energetic this morning.

Mitzi-Rocky, what is the most death-defying stunt you can work onto Marigold?! Flamming trucks, dynamite, blowing up a whole gas pipe?!

Wick-M-Mitzi, I-.

Mitzi-CORK IT!!!

She explained to me that Marigold attacked them last night and took (Y/N). She ended up on the ground while working her water works and it wounded me so to see my boss like this. Wick went to comfort her but something wasn't right.

Rocky-Hmmm... Something is not playing right here?

Mitzi-Sniffle Wh-What?

Rocky-I mean, if you were to send me out on a hit or to send a message, you don't let one live even after a kidnapping. Much to risking and leaves the bitter fellas thirsting for revenge. One is bound to end up in an early grave for the others to find.

Wick-She's a mob boss, it would mean a gang war.

Rocky-If they killed her, surely but that just leaves you and (Y/N) in the attack.

Ms. M was thinking about it and it even made me think of Viktor and Mordecai doing jobs together. They would leave no survivors or witnesses unless told to but that would be a fool's game. I expressed this to Ms. M as well by picturing her giving this order or even Atlas.

Mitzi-... Wick, how were you not injured?

Wick-I-I was. The gentleman hit me with the same dart as he did to you.

Mitzi-... Rocky... I'll call you back up in a moment.

She collected herself a little and managed to stand up while looking at the floor... Glad I could raise her spirits a little.

(Wick's POV)

Rocky left the room and I felt nervous but I knew I just had to stick to my story. When I turned back to Mitzi I saw her pointing a pistol at me so I backed up to a wall where she pinned me to it with the barrel of the gun against my stomach.

Wick-M-Mitzi, what are you-?!

Mitzi-Rocky is crazy and can be very stupid, but he's right about one thing. I would not order my men to attack a mob boss unless I wanted to get my point across. 

She pressed the gun up against me harder and it hurt while also scaring me so much I froze.

Wick-M-Mitzi, I am telling you the truth! I was darted as well!

Mitzi-Stop! Lying!

BANG

I closed my eyes expecting this to be my end... but I didn't feel any pain then looked to see Mitzi was pointing the gun away from me. She was also giving me a look as if she was a cold-hearted predator ready to kill its prey.

Mitzi-I am going to get my son back and you are going to make sure that happens. Fail me in such as a way that there is so much as a scratch on him, I will have Viktor take you out on a drive. Capiche?

Before I could answer she poked me with the gun and the barrel felt warm.

Mitzi-Move, we're going downstairs to discuss things.

We went down the hall and she kept her gun to my back then held my hand went we got outside. I thought about running away but I didn't want to risk her shooting me. Surely, what she has planned can't be that bad.

(Timeskip To Night)

Wick's mind-I'm going to sleep with the fishes.

((Y/N)'s POV)

Serafine stayed with me all day while Nico was gone cleaning me, asking me questions like what humans can do but she never asked about my parents. I wanted to bring them up but the bones and everything told me not to because I don't want their skeletons to be decorations. The other thing I tried was to ask if we could go outside so I could have a better chance of running away... She didn't say anything before she put me in a cage for an hour while she got for more things ready for me. It was like this all day but at least her 'friends' weren't here.

Serafine-Ready to go out tonight? I got something special for you.

(Y/N)-I'm clean and whatever else you did to me today!

Serafine-Calm down and don't worry your little head.

The next things she grabbed were a rope, a long piece of cloth, and a washcloth. She towered over me until I backed up against a wall.

Serafine-Rule 1 of your surprise tonight... No peeking. ~

(Freckle's POV)

I can't believe that I had to do this. Ms. M wants us to do a rescue mission for her 'human' son but the worst part was she wanted him out of town until things calmed down from our hit then she would come by to pick him up or at least check on him. The only place I know is my Mom's house but she would either have a heart attack, attack him, attack me for bringing him, or all 3. She will be a force of nature that can't be stopped.

Wick-M-Maybe we should do this another night... Like one where Marigold is busy.

Rocky-No can do, Old Sport! Ms. M. gave us an order and we carried it out but lucky you! You get to be in the field with us tonight!

Wick-Yaaaaaah. whisper

Rocky-We got the safehouse ready for the special delivery, Freckle?

Freckle-My mom's house... and no. She didn't answer and you didn't wait for me to call her and try to talk to her... It'll all be last minute.

Rocky-Perfect! The last minute is when the knights in shining armor come in and save the day!

Wick-We are bringing an unknown creature to a woman's house outside of the city! Th-This can only go bad!

Rocky-Details, Wick. I don't know what you did to Ms. M to make her so angry with you at the briefing but if anything goes wrong, it won't be eggs in coffee for me and Freckle but you would be worrying more about yourself. Not to worry though my compadres, for I have a plan. ~ Hahahahahaaaa!

Wick-Gulp.

I remember the meeting very well too. I never saw our boss so mad before when she flashed her gun at Wick a couple of times when she tried to speak. She even whispered something to Viktor before he looked at him. I think his life does depend on us doing a good job... We just need a payphone before things get out of hand. Maybe I can hide the human in the basement so she never sees him...

Freckle's mind-She's going to kill me... Probably, Rocky first.
