MMF Library Problem UPDATE

Today we stumbled on some problem with the MMF files sharing system, we are in contact with MMF and doing our best to sort it out ASAP.

UPDATE:

The MMF files share problem is fixed. For all of you guys that use the same email on Patreon and MMF, it should work like before the glitch. If you use a different email for MMF or for some other reason still do not have access to the files that you are entitled to just send us DM we will sort it out for you ASAP.

What went wrong? Yesterday we started to receive messages from users that they have access to the whole Puppetswar digital library, even loyalty reward for free, regardless of what month they supported on Patreon. We contacted the MMF support team at 10:22 (GMT+2) to sort this out. Initially, we thought that this issue affects only a few customers but near the evening more of you guys reach us with pointing out the same issue, it turned out that all our users have access to all Puppetswar files for free which is pretty unfair to supporters that paid for them. All that time we were trying to figure out what was the cause of this situation, after hours of investigation and double checking of shared catalogues we still could not find any explanation. It was clear to us that the bug need to be somewhere in the shared catalogue we just were not able to neither detect nor fix it by ourselves. Despite a few additional messages we still had no response from MMF technical support team. Since the MMF does not give us many tools to operate this process, at 21:15 (GMT+2) we decided to turn off all our product visibility in the shared objects tab and then start rebuilding manually from scratch the whole shared files catalogue with all Patrons. We were able to achieve that this morning and it looks like the problem is fixed. We are still waiting for information from the MMF since till this time we got no response from them. For now, we do not want to resend emails from the MMF system, as it is possible that they were the cause of the problem. Hope they soon respond and help us figure out what exactly went wrong.

This situation reminded us that MMF (exactly like Patreon) is an independent platform and if an error occurs in their systems, it may be beyond our control. All platforms and network tools, if they fail, will result in a loss of data visibility. We know that using MMF cloud is convenient for many of you guys but remember that it is always safest to download the files we provide to your local drive, either from the Sync link or from the MMF library.

Thank all of you guys that helped us fix this problem, and we are sorry for the inconvenience and confusion. If anyone still at any point will have a problem with access to their files we will do our best to solve this problem as soon as possible!

UPDATE 2:

We  would like to let you know that we have received a feedback about files  availability from MMF that they asked us to share with our subscribers.

 "Files acquired through MyMiniFactory (Tribes, Store, FronTiers, Pledge  Manager) will remain in a user's Library and maker's purchases are  always protected. Files acquired from external providers (such as  Patreon) can be removed at a Creator's discretion."

The long story short is that file sharing is created by artists and it's not the same process as file purchasing on MMF. File sharing is editable by artists. We are doing it manually, it's not an automated process as Patreon and MMF are separate platforms. So every artist can add, change and remove files from the sharing tool. The same goes for any system errors. But you can be sure that we are and will continue to do our best  to secure those files for you.
