We are back with another The Golden Girls reaction. Today, we are watching One Flew Out of the Cuckoo's Nest (Part 1). We have arrived to the end of our beloved show. This episode was soooo good! Blanche's uncle Lucas comes to town for a visit and Blanche pimps him off to Dorothy for a night of "boring conversation". Unfortunately, her plans don't go as expected when Dorothy and Lucas find out that they were set up by our southern belle. They come up with a fake engagement to drive Blanche nuts... and IT WORKS! I didn't think I would cry on part 1, but it happened y'all!
I can't believe we are at the end!

2024-09-16 15:06:28 +0000 UTCI don’t really think I want this to happen because I don’t trust that today’s studios wouldn’t trample all over the legacy of this amazing show (plus with so many of the people involved with the show now gone, it just wouldn’t seem right somehow). This is more of a fantasy……. But in the same way that Young Sheldon is a prequel to The Big Bang Theory, wouldn’t “Hollingsworth Manor” make for an amazing modern prequel to The Golden Girls! It would give us a bigger peek into Blanche’s mischievous childhood. Another prequel idea: “Back In St Olaf” 😂😅
