Hello everyone!
Adrian here, main designer and sculptor in Puppetswar. Today I would like to share with you my personal passion project. A Chess Set that I envisioned over a decade ago which I finally decided to make a reality!

In 2011 I made my first chess set as a part of my Collage Major.

Since then I was focused on making miniatures in Puppetswar but the idea of creating Dark Fantasy Chess was on my mind since that time. My goal was to create a unique design, including attention to detail that we all know and love from miniatures we play but one that still met the criteria of a functional and durable chess set. To create figures that could be enjoyed by everybody, not only by wargamers. Opportunity for us hobbyists to prepare that kind of piece, if not for ourselves then as a gift for someone we love, someone from our family or a friend. And if chess is totally not your cup of tea you can always rescale individual pieces and use them as a wargame terrain or as rewards on your local tournament :)

I'm very proud of what I was able to achieve. I know that this is not the exact type of content you are used to seeing here but making this piece was very important for me personally and I figured that Christmas might be a good occasion to share something different. I honestly pour my heart and soul into this piece and I hope you like it as much as I do.
In the future I would love to explore more of that area and jump into other styles, creating for example one with a Samurai or a Sci-fi twist, but it all depends on your reaction. If demand will be there I will work on some more sets :) So If you like the idea please help me reach as many people as possible by sharing this on social media and telling your friends about this set. I will greatly appreciate it, and we'll see what the future brings. For now, you can enjoy Paladin Chess Set, files of which you can find here, but all of them will be also shared with you by MMF.
The one downside of this set was that the scale of this project completely overwhelmed me and creating it in the timeframe I gave myself was practically impossible. I initially planned to release it for you even sooner but I did not want to compromise my vision and decided to push on. Unfortunately, it also affected my other plans for this month and sadly I have to announce that I’m forced to shift the release of Ork Biker (loyalty reward for ones that stayed with us for three consecutive months) for January. Of course, all of the people entitled to this one will gain access to the model regardless of their Patron status during the release. This delay is on me and I'm sorry for that.
Meanwhile, I can tease what we will have for you for the main January release. More details should be revealed next week, but I hope you like where this is going.

And one last thing for today. We all here would like to wish you all the Best for Christmas, thank you for helping us make the best miniatures we can and being part of this fantastic community!
Here is another little gift that seems appropriate for the occasion!

You can download this little fellow till the end of the year here (password: XmasPWD1)
Happy Christmas printing!
