Last episode when Kevin was showing Kim the models and told her "this is what it's all about", it really struck a nerve with her. Kim got into the law hoping to make a difference in people's lives and instead is just serving as a corporate stooge. This isn't what she signed up for, it doesn't make her happy, so she's taking steps towards changing that.
