Eva told Egon that he must make sure the fucked up family tree remains intact. This requires that he shows up in time to basically kidnap Hannah and take her back to the 1950s so she can eventually carry on the family line like we already saw. I have a theory that she ends up going to the Obendorf abortion clinic to help with the stillbirth in this world, leading her to meet up with Helene Albers in a different way, and then ultimately once she's recovered she hooks up with young Egon and things are "back to normal" if you can call it that LOL.

2020-09-05 04:02:34 +0000 UTCTo clear up the "how did they get to 1888" question: Young Jonas witnesses Adam kill Martha. In one of two possible outcomes, he runs to the basement of his house and survives the Apocalypse like the people in the bunker: Claudia and Regina (who is killed shortly thereafter by Tronte), Young Noah and Young Elisabeth and Peter. This Jonas meets up with Claudia in the ruin of the nuclear reactor where the white matter is, and they end up working together from that point onward. The previous seasons eluded to the idea that Jonas and Claudia were once allies, but she betrayed him. This is her betrayal. She intentionally makes sure that Jonas can't activate the portal until the 2040s when it's appropriate for events to take place leading to Adam's timeline. At this point, Jonas has become Scraggly Jonas we see back in Season 1 as the Stranger. Scraggly Jonas does his thing in 2019/2020 and eventually has his machine stolen by Hannah. However, Adam manipulates Noah to manipulate Bartosz into handing over the same machine but much later, and Scraggly Jonas uses THIS machine while in the Nielsen house at the moment of the Apocalypse to transfer himself, Teen Franziska, Teen Magnus, and Teen Bartosz all the way back to 1888. This extended travel eats up the last of the cesium juice in their suitcase machine, making it useless, and stranding them in 1888, where they age until we see them in the 1920s when Teen Jonas pops up to save his dad.
