patreon preview - Fail? - Flowers absorbing fluorescent dye?

Rough cut of something i always wanted to do, timelapse the absorbtion of fluorescent dyes into flowers. Problem is, the flies came back in swarms attracted by the UV light. Should i post this? or do it all over again in February when there are hopefully no flies?

On a deeper question. Is this even worth posting? I like showing a bit of art in science, but it might be too much of departure from my usual content of synthetic chemistry.

Let me know what you think. Post anyway despite the flies. Redo in February or chuck this out since this is not hard core science.

(BTW is the lack of narration okay for a "artsy" video?)

Comments

I agree with those saying that a little bit of information would be nice, but not too much since it's an "artsy" video. I don't think it's bad to have some art videos like this, especially since it may help get more viewers, but even with that said, I still prefer your usual content.

If you add a comment on the transport mechanism (I heard it goes beyond the capillary effect), I believe it qualifies as hard core science. Very beautiful! Thanks
