2020-04-19 05:28:37 +0000 UTCThis has to be like my fourth rewatch of this episode now, and I think I just realized that it's entirely possible that the lady that hands Nora the baby while she's waiting for the bus is actually her real test for whether or not she's a fit candidate for the machine, regardless of what the two physicists said. They knew her hotel and right where the bus stop was, so it's not a stretch that they might send a decoy to test her before she even meets them. The question later posed is "would you kill a baby to cure cancer," so it's almost ironic that earlier on she gives up a baby to figure out a global issue. At least she's consistent with her answer in both scenarios. This is just a speculation, but I could totally see it being the case now lol.
