The last few episodes of this look really good. In some ways I like how it looks more than TYBW. The fullbring arc is also my fave arc in the series it’s a shame it was rushed a bit. But even to this day Ichigo vs ginjo is my fave fight in the anime. The only bad thing about it is that it’s way too short. All the new designs are way better than the old ones imo. I think almost nobody got a downgrade they all glowed up. In the manga the fullbring arc had the best art too I think. For TYBW kubo was injured but also his style changed slightly for TYBW. And then again after TYBW he started trying out digital art. So far he’s always used traditional tools. So his art style changed again. It’s interesting how his art is changing even now. Not everybody likes his newer styles. Have you watch the anime of kubo’s newest manga burn the witch? It’s only 4 episodes and I think you’d like it a lot.

2024-02-08 01:05:14 +0000 UTCSomething that's easy to forget because they get along with Ichigo and co. is that the Soul Reapers are NOT "good" guys. They're a NEUTRAL force that's meant to protect the balance between the three worlds. That's why morally reprehensible people like Mayuri, Kenpachi, and even Yamamoto and Shunsui in some ways, end up in positions of authority; because they're willing to do whatever they have to do to protect the universe. It just so happens that their objectives align with Ichigo's. Their genocide against the Quincy's, Ginjo's betrayal by Ukitake (which is explored in Can't Fear Your Own World), their willingness to hunt down and kill Ginjo and Ichigo, and the general rigidity and hardline nature of the Soul Society are a result of their "cosmic duty". It's understandable that morality takes a back seat when your job is to literally prevent the universe from collapsing. The Fullbring Arc has its fair share of problems but it's definitely not as bad as people make it out to be. My biggest gripe is that aside from a few tidbits here and there and the backstories that Riruka skims over, the Fullbringers get little to no characterization and are just sort of....there. They just feel like empty placeholder antagonists for Ichigo and co. to fight at the end of the arc. They're given a bit more depth in Can't Fear Your Own World but I feel like more care could have been given to them in, y'know, the arc that features them most prominently. Also, this arc marks a HUGE turning point for Ichigo as Ginjo is the first person he's actually KILLED by choice. Huge moment of growth for him.
