2024-01-04 17:01:48 +0000 UTCThe thing with orihimeβs parents we already knew in the manga but way back in episode 2 or 3 when it was supposed to be revealed in the anime they changed it a bit. Censored it basically even though it didnβt need to. In the anime it was that her parents abandoned her but in the manga itβs basically what she says here that they were really abusive. The only bits that were left out were that her mother was a prostitute and her dad was the kind of person who would beat a baby until it stopped crying. So her brother ran away with her because he thought they would kill her. Up until like episode 130 or so there were a lot of unneeded changes to the anime. Kubo said it gave him stomach aches seeing them. After that he demanded to see the storyboards before they went through. There was still some stuff that had to be censored after that but at least random things werenβt being added or changed anymore. Thatβs why the bount filler characters were showing up in canon scenes. Orihime had it the worst. Tons of her scenes were ruined.
