Oh cool! When I watched this in theaters I was blown away by the costumes and cinematography choices. I never looked up the director, but a music video background makes sense.

2023-07-06 00:29:23 +0000 UTCamazing reaction, so glad that you enjoyed! the visuals, the costumes, all top tier. the director tarsem was making music videos for years and in every country he filmed in he promised he'd come back and make a movie... and here it is. all filmed on location, as you can see. very little cgi. even the blue city was real. and all grounded in an emotional story. one of my favorite films.
