I wondered that too but I think he was both special and a dupe. Richard mentioned "later" in S3 that John being healed could only happen to someone who was very special...so there is a conflict (or continuity error) there. He should have never been the leader though...that was completely MiB's doing.

Continue...to avoid spoilers.

Definitely watch the full length series finale.

Talk about subtle but telling moments, when Kate, Sawyer and Juliet run into Bernard and Rose, and Bernard says "so we die, we just care about being together", then Juliet looks at Sawyer and Sawyer looks at Kate... it just guts me.

Mike - I have to say, as others have said, you are by far my favorite Lost reactor. You have that perfect balance of focus, feedback, commitment to the plot and emotional connection to the characters. I adore your reactions. I hope you decide to do a re-watch at some point. I would very much enjoy taking the journey again with you. Then, we (patrons) won't have to worry about spoilers and it can be a group, shared experience. Super excited for you to start S6. From one Lostie to another, cheers!

The series finale - MUST watch the uncut full episode. The S6 finale was 2 1/2 hours long, so for serialization (even though LOST can't really do that) they cut it into two 1 hour episodes and removed two interesting if not vital scenes. So on HULU, watch episode 19, skip 17 & 18. You talked about how Miles' dad was going to die in this episode - of note, we've seen him narrate multiple orientation films in the past 4 seasons - sometimes he has two functioning arms....sometimes he has one. For example, in S2E3 "Orientation", the Swan Station has a #onehandednamaste at the end, it was obviously filmed after he hurt his hand in the Incident (and he mentions an Incident in this one too). In S2E21 "?" the Pearl Station has a #twohandednamaste, so that was filmed prior to the Incident.. John not being John the entire Season = Rewatching > First Watching How long between 5 and 6? If you watched the finale on 5/29/23, then you can watch the S6 premiere LA X (not LAX, you can decide if that is a typo or not) on FEBRUARY 18, 2024! We waited 265 days between episodes! IF YOU FEEL CONFIDENT ABOUT AVOIDING SPOILERS ON YOUTUBE... This was posted on 1/06/2010, about 1 month before season 6 started. It's from ABC and is called Lost in 8:15. https://youtu.be/GdT8eqMO4qk

It also makes you wonder if Locke was ever even special. The Man in Black manipulated him. He told Richard to give him the compass. So then Locke gave Richard the compass back which prompted Richard to go visit Locke as a baby, a child, and a teen. And to take interest in him when he came to the island later. That's why Richard thought he was special. What if he was never special? What if he was just a pawn for The man in Black. It's super tragic

You lose $2,000 lol

This show was huge when it aired. So many myself included watched over and over. Some scenes pause look pause again. We had fan fiction websites solely for lost. My top 3 of all time!

I've always been a #TeamLocke so I felt so stupid when here we realized that is not John Locke. But well, I always felt strange with the idea of John wanting to kill Jacob, that was no sense for me. And I'm on the side of who thinks Jacob didn't kill Nadia. Jacob saved Sayid. Thank you so much for your reactions, I really love all your love for Lost!
